WIP Wednesday

Published by Tiffany under Uncategorized

1.  Lacy Shell Poncho for Maddie in Paton’s Shetland Chunky Tweeds in Deep Red.  I’m hoping to finish it either tonight or tomorrow night while I wrap up Rome Season 1.

2.  Jiffy Striped Afghan from Crochet Today.  Someone may end up getting this one for a birthday present if I can let go of it.  There are two birthdays coming up in January if I get some free time available after Christmas to finish it.

3. Laura’s shrug number 2 - I’m using a great yarn on this one!  I’ll try to take a picture to post sometime tonight while Christmas tree decorating.

4.  Christmas ornaments from Crochet Today.  Most likely intended for the girls’ teachers if I can finish them by next week.  (eek!)

5.  Scarf for Laura’s teacher in Patons Divine.  Laura loves her so I’ve got to finish this one in time!

I think that’s all of my pre-Christmas WIP (I hope!).

Okay, I have a lot of CCR on my ipod, but there are just as many songs from other bands on there too, but at least my ending songs were somewhat happy. :)

Pre-Christmas excitement girls

Published by Tiffany under Uncategorized

ahhh… The months before Christmas when those nice little daughters stay nice and well mannered.  How I miss you.  To remind me of how wonderful they were before Christmas joy mutated them into whiney muffins, I share these photos.

This is what happens to Maddie after a fun excursion to see the Ben Franklin exhibit at the HMNS.  She wore herself out playing with the fan-chair (yes, I know it probably has a name courtesy of Mr. Franklin but I’m drawing a blank).

This is how we spent Black Friday - riding through the East Texas woods from Palestine (pronounced Pal-ah-steen) to Rusk on a 1920’s train pulled by an old diesel engine.

My first of many bad attempts at posing the girls for a Christmas photo at the Gaylord Texan hotel in Grapevine, Texas.  The girls were much more interested in the miniature train that was traveling through the top of the tree than taking photos.
